How It's Made
The handles on these boards are carved and shaped by hand. The ebonized boards are blackened by a natural and food-safe oxidation process that reacts with the wood’s inherent tannins. No stains, dyes or pigments were used to create their dark, ebonized finish.
Materials
Available in Black Walnut, Cherry, Maple, and Naturally Ebonized Black Walnut. Each board is finished with a natural blend of premium heat treated walnut oil and Hudson Valley, NY sourced beeswax. The ebonized boards are made from cherry, walnut or oak, depending on availability. If you have a preference on which wood your ebonized boards are made from please feel free to contact me.
Care & Use
To clean, wash with soap and hot water then towel dry. Avoid soaking in water or placing in the dishwasher. When the surface becomes dry over time it can be reconditioned with mineral oil or walnut oil.
